I am in my second year of hosting my first-ever website on Bluehost, and I have had pelo problems or down-time.

I manage several websites with Bluehost and have nothing but a good experience with them. Their cPanel is well laid out and easy to do most tasks like upload WordPress or setup email accounts. There are plenty of helpful tutorial videos and pages that get you going as well.

Another bad feature here is that any data they back up within the past 30 days is overwritten. Their Terms clearly state that they will hold pelo responsibility for this.

I was in a panic! When a customer service representative finally responded, he had a couldn’t-be-bothered attitude. He essentially blamed me for the problem. It turned out that my SSL certificate had expired and the auto-renewal wasn’t on.

Some of the web hosts we’ve seen can be considered the best only if you’re an advanced user. But, Bluehost is great for beginners, too.

Case in point: let’s talk about my nightmare security experience. Bluehost provides a free SSL certificate when you sign up. That’s what makes your URL ‘https’ instead of ‘http’ – it’s an added layer of security against hackers and viruses. One afternoon, I tried to visit my blog and ran into a page like this one:

For a reliable WordPress host, apart from running the latest version of PHP and MYSQL, servers should be configured to handle the extra load that typically occurs with WordPress.  I can verify that Bluehost handles it all very well.

I finally got it. I am been held hostage. I HAVE TO upgrade or be damned! I have gone as far as asking how to add this CDN – me not being too techie but I seem to have hit a wall with tech supp. or they are pissed off with me for being so dumb!

Somehow Bluehost has become one of the top web hosting services, but don’t fall for the glowing recommendations. It baffles me that bloggers continuously heap praise on Bluehost and enthusiastically recommend it.

Having such a vast customer base is enough evidence that they are doing something right. Their uptime is reliable, server speeds are good, and their hosting plans pack useful features for beginners and veterans alike.

I then asked "Just to clarify, before BlueHost will investigate further, I will need to actually see an error message that indicates my site is down. Is this correct?"

(this I don't consider a negative, just a factor of doing business) I tried a WordPress sitio, but found the format too constricting. I eventually used an HTML based product and I was easily able to upload those files and aqui create my website. I wholly recommend BlueHost as web hosting provider.

In my experience, live customer service is 100 times more effective than chat which can often be a big waste of my time and energy.
